Shires Umpires Course

The Sydney Shires Umpires Association puts a lot of work into providing umpires across grades 1-3 and occasionally 4 in Shires. If you want to be a part of this fantastic way to stay in the game, contact  shireumpires@iprimus.com.au  and talk to Steve Blomfield about it. Courses are always being offered.

Who are we?

Welcome to the home of Pennant Hills District Cricket Club, otherwise known as the 'Penno Pumas'.
Joining the Sydney Shires competition in 1947, Penno has a rich and successful history in Sydney's 'other' premier cricket competition; with two grounds side by side in Sydney's leafy north, Pennant Hills Ovals 1 and 2 are home to all Four Senior Grade teams and a Frank Gray Shield Team (Under 24's)

Our club also boasts a Junior club (Click for Juniors information) that plays in the HK&HDCA competition, with teams across many ages from Under 8s to Under 16's Cricket. The clubs strong junior base gives local kids a chance to learn and develop their playing skills with the opportunity to progress into Senior turf cricket within the same club environment.

Pennant Hills District Cricket Club has won 11 Premierships and 2 Club Championships.

Our most recent success being our
Juniors U13 team being Minor Premiers for the 2011/12 season, and then going on to win the Grand Final to be crowned Premiers

Our most recent Seniors success was
winning 2nd Division - Winter Competition.
While with the SCA Shires
finishing Minor Premiers in 1st Grade for season 2008/09, losing the Grand Final  after winning the 1st Grade Premiership Title the year prior. The club has strong lower grades as well, and is now looking to improve on a sound 20010/11 and 2011/12 seasons by doing even better in 2012/13

It is a very exciting time for the club with new players joining PHDCC and very keen cricketers across all Grades

Whilst on field success will always be a measure of a club's strength, Penno prides itself on providing an atmosphere for players of all ability and walks of life to enjoy their time, both on and off the park. Social events include club drinks after each day's play, trivia nights, match day BBQs, Golf Day and the 20/20 @ Penno Oval day.
